Portugal’s APTRAD confirms SubtitleNEXT as Premium Sponsor

For immediate release – 18 June 2021, Porto, Portugal - PBT EU confirms its participation at APTRAD 2021 this year as a premium sponsor featuring SubtitleNEXT workshop sessions. The four-day conference will take place from 8 – 11 September, marking Portugal’s first-ever international online audiovisual translation event.

In addition, Profuz Digital’s CTO Kamen Ferdinandov, creator of the SubtitleNEXT software platform, will be participating in the technology roundtable as a speaker. The debate plans to outline how AVT tools in a fast-moving industry are playing a key role where content is being produced at a rapid pace. Topics covered include how new subtitling software feature developments such as translation memories, glossary management, hybrid toolsets and more are mapping the way.

The APTRAD conference is designed to attract world-class professionals to explore various areas across the AV translation and broadcast sector, ranging from subtitling, dubbing, accessibility modalities, and in particular, subtitling for hearing-impaired people, and audio description – which are all vital elements for broadcasters.

CEO of systems integration specialists PBT EU, Ivanka Vassileva states, “We feel it is important to be involved in APTRAD this year, as we enter a crucial time in our industry as media accessibility has become ever more integral to many AVT and broadcast professionals. Kamen and I will be discussing the latest in subtitling technology and we will be available at our online SubtitleNEXT booth to demonstrate how our software adapts to specific AVT and broadcasting requirements. Although the APTRAD event will be completely online, we will have a virtual booth, including raffles, round tables, and all the same activities as planned for the in-person event. We are also giving away a free laptop with a SubtitleNEXT “Expert” lifetime license to a lucky guest who enters the raffle at the virtual event.”
